Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Casus for iOS handles, why, and where it goes. The app has no accounts, shows no ads, does not track you and does not sell your data.
1. Data on your device
- Player names, saved player groups, custom word lists, game statistics and settings are stored only on your device (in the app's storage and iOS settings). We do not receive them.
- A counter of free games played and a random identifier used to tag purchases are kept in the iOS Keychain so they survive reinstalling the app. If iCloud Keychain is enabled on your iPhone, Apple may sync them between your devices. We cannot read them.
- Deleting the app removes the local data. Keychain items may remain until you reset them.
2. Analytics and notifications
The app uses Google Firebase services:
- Firebase Analytics: anonymous usage events such as game started or finished, selected category, paywall and purchase events, plus device model, OS version, country and app version. Event data does not include player names or word lists.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: if you allow notifications, a push token is created and the device subscribes to a general "all" topic so we can send announcements. You can turn notifications off in iOS Settings.
- Firebase Remote Config: settings such as the free game limit are downloaded; no personal data is sent.
Firebase data is processed by Google under the Firebase Privacy and Security terms. The app does not use Firebase Crashlytics or any other crash reporting service.
3. Advertising
The app shows no advertising and collects no advertising data. It does not use the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA), does not use App Tracking Transparency and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
4. Purchases
Subscriptions are sold through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Apple handles payment, billing and refunds; we never see your card or payment details. The app checks your subscription status with Apple to unlock Premium.
5. Online Drawing rooms
If you use Online Drawing (Premium), the nickname you enter, your drawing strokes, reactions and votes are sent to Google Firebase (Realtime Database, with an anonymous sign-in and App Check) so the other players in your room can see them. No account, email or contact data is needed. Room data is used only to run the game; a room expires 24 hours after it is created and expired rooms are deleted automatically. Nicknames are filtered for offensive words, and you can block or report a player from the room; reports reach us by email with the room code and are reviewed within 24 hours, and offending room data is deleted.
6. Retention
Local data stays until you delete the app. Analytics data is retained by Firebase for up to 14 months.
7. Children
The app is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content, but it is not specifically directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Your rights and deletion
Deleting the app deletes the data stored on your device. To have analytics data linked to your device deleted, or for any question about this policy, write to erbalta80@gmail.com. Depending on where you live you may have rights under GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA or Türkiye's KVKK; we honour them on request.
9. Controller and changes
